Widgets

A widget is a cut-down version of an Event Weather product that you can insert into your website or blog to give your own users at-a-glance information backed by Event Weather technology.

Event Weather widgets are currently limited to a single Event Weather product, "Live Weather Conditions". With this widget, users to your website are presented with the current conditions of their geographical location, made possible by combing IP geo-location technology with Event Weather weather data.

XML Feeds

Price: Upon application.

Event Weather XML Feeds allow you to retrieve up-to-the-minute weather data for all of the Event Weather products, namely:

  • Live weather conditions
  • 7-day forecast
  • Highest probability "Precast" conditions for any day up to 12 months in advance
  • Hour-by-Hour outlook up to 72 hours in advance

The data is requested using a HTTP or HTTPS request to the Event Weather web service, with the result being returned in easy-to-read XML.

In the spirit of "eating our own dog food", the Event Weather Android App obtains its weather information from the very same Event Weather data services that you do – proof that the Event Weather data services feature an extensive and thorough set of weather data.

Feel free to contact us to discuss the terms and conditions to using the Event Weather data services. Technical documentation is also available on request. Please email info@eventweather.com.au.
